FEBRABAN releases figures for 2017 and shows that the banking app market is gaining strength with each passing year. But why does this happen? Let’s find out.
Last Thursday (3), the Brazilian Federation of Banks announced that financial transactions via apps increased by 70% in the last year.
This research is done every year and this year was no different.
Paying bills was the main activity through apps, accounting for 85%, takin updated 2024 mobile phone number data g out credit 141%, transfers, DOC and TED 45% and investments and applications went to 42%.
But what is the reason behind these numbers?
There may be some variables that can be taken into account, but here we will try to better understand what these numbers tell us.
The first is the physical aspect of the thing. What do you mean, Guilherme? Come on, it’s much more practical to make a transaction from the comfort of your own home than to go to the bank. This may seem like an obvious thing to say, but there are a considerable number of people who still prefer to go to the bank.
This is normal if you consider that many people still don’t trust the app market that much. However, these numbers show us that more and more people are using apps to take care of their financial health.
A second point is the securityreason, it may seem controversial, but people use apps beyond data on practical issues, they feel safer when performing an action literally at their fingertips.
Trends to follow?
Why not? This opens the door for new and old banks to invest in apps as a roadmap outlining the timeline . It is common for old banks to have their own apps, but optimizing them to have new functions is quite a challenge.
This data also reveals an interesting factor about web movements in general.
If you combine transactions virnet banking and mobile banking, the number is quite frightening for bank branches. The movement of these transactions compared to 2011 was 3.5 times. And we are talking about just 7 years ago.
